Tile leveling system for large-format tiles
Large-format tile is where a leveling system earns its place: a small height difference between two 1200 mm edges is visible across the whole room. The choices that matter are the clip profile, the joint width and how consistently the wedges are tightened.
Choose the clip by tile thickness first
Large-format porcelain is often thicker than standard floor tile, and the clip has to fit under the tile edge without lifting it. Our standard profiles cover tiles up to 17–18 mm; the tall clip, at 47 mm overall height, covers tiles up to 29 mm, including stone-look and paver formats.
Once the thickness is settled, pick the joint width the layout specifies. Base profile and joint width are independent choices.
Installation considerations
- Full adhesive contact matters more on large tiles than on small ones; a leveling system holds surfaces flush but does not fill voids under the tile.
- Place clips along the shared edges, and add clips along long edges where a small deviation would be most visible.
- Tighten wedges with leveling pliers rather than by hand where you want repeatable pressure. Our pliers have a 240 mm body and adjust separately for floor and wall work.
- Recover and reuse the wedges after the clips are removed; the wedge measures 91 × 22.5 × 16 mm and weighs 5.3 g.
Removing the clips
Break the clip off only after the adhesive has cured. The base is shaped to snap below the tile surface along the grout line, so the remaining part stays buried under the grout. Slim base clips, at 1.4 mm, are shaped for the easiest break-off in the range.

- Joint widths from 0.5 to 3 mm across four base profiles.
- Neutral bulk packing, printed bags or retail-ready boxes, agreed per order.
